Abstract:
The purpose of the research is to identify the possible combinations of measurements
of homogeneous and inhomogeneous flows, which will make possible to calculate the flow rate
of each component of the three-phase mixture, due to the fact that there is no universal method
of measurement. The classification of the potential multiphase flow meters by the parameters that
they measure, and by the physical principles, on the basis of which they work. The paper considers
four ways to measure the flow rate of the multiphase flow components. It is shown that the flow
homogenizing reduces the number of measurements. The possibility to develop a fundamentally
new multiphase flowmeter provided the use of a large number of transducers is explained. It is assumed that due to this calculation the measurement error can be reduced from 10–15 to 3–5%.
