Abstract:
The mathematical model of the ideal process of detonation of hard explosives, on the basis of which a computer software DETO 1.0 is worked out. The database of thermodynamic properties of the components of explosives and products of detonation is developed. The software helps predict the detonation parameters (velocity of detonation and pressure at Chepman–Jouget’s point) of industrial explosives that presents a particular interest in finding and exploring new explo-sives. The advantages of the software DETO 1.0 are: simple interface, database as thermodynamic properties of the components of explosives and detonation products, automatic entrance of initial data (thermodynamic properties of 65 components of explosives and 31 detonation products) and easiness of its usage. The results of the calculation of the parameters of explosives using DETO 1.0 and the software Cheetah and Vixen-I with a sufficient degree of accuracy coincide with the parameters of industrial explosives E682-a, E682-b and E682 with aluminium, defined experimentally. The algorithm DETO 1.0 makes it possible to improve and develop the software, designed by other producers for modeling the process of initiating, detonation and operating capacity of industrial explosives.
