Abstract:
Human factor is the major factor of the accident rate of navigation. In most cases accidents happen because of discrepancy of personal qualities of a person to the requirements of the profession of the sea expert. Therefore, shipping companies have to improve the system of selection, which must essentially take into account personal qualities of a candidate for a position. Among a number of personal qualities, the professionally important qualities are the defining ones for success of the professional activity. Minimum necessary structure of the professionally important qualities of the sea expert is defined. It is offered to apply psychological testing to an assessment of the professionally important qualities of the sea expert, and in particular, the 16-factorial test of Cattell is chosen. The professionally important qualities of the sea expert are compared to the questionnaire factors. The Mamdani fuzzy model is developed for estimation of concrete personal characteristics. Each factor in the model is presented with a linguistic variable, for which a term set of values is defined. The output linguistic variable and its term set of values are defined. Gaussian functions are chosen as membership functions. The base of fuzzy MISO rules is constructed. The developed fuzzy model is used in the computer system of the assessment of the candidates of sea specialties in the course of personnel selection. The computer system is developed for the "PKF "Rhythm" shipping company.
