Algorithm of functioning of the system of distance measurement using hydroacoustic channel of communication

Abstract: The objects of the research are the principles and methods of creation of the combined system of distance measurement (SDM) and signal transmission of control and digital information on hydroacoustic communication channel (HACC) of vertical orientation. The aim of the research is to study the ways of creation of the combined system SDM – HACC used as a part of an operational hydroacoustic complex. The choice of the system of signals and the method of distance measurement is made. The algorithm of the combined system SDM – HACC constructed on the principles of asynchronous and address transmission code-division of signals and combination of operation of distance measurement with control signal transmission is developed. At the same time in terms of exchanging the signals, the combined system SDM – HACC can be considered as a multi-station information network (communication network), where the servicing vessel and the object of measurement can execute functions of the central (carrying) station, but all the remaining elements of the system are its subscribers (subordinate stations). As signals of control instructions and receipts it is offered to apply the six times repeated binary sequences, each of which consists of the synchronizing start sequence 32 characters and a codeword length correcting cyclic code (32,16). The choice of the system of signals for transmission of control instructions and receipts is carried out from probability support conditions: reception by the subscriber of control instruction with an undetected error $P_{\textrm{u.e}}\leqslant10^{-8}$; false reception of a command by the subscriber in the absence of its transmission $P_{\textrm{f.re}}\leqslant4\cdot10^{-7}$; a set of a call signal of the subscriber $P_{\textrm{s}}\leqslant10^{-8}$; fadeout of a signal on a control ring "a central office – a subscriber – a central office" by one-fold transmission of control instruction $P_{\textrm{c}}\leqslant10^{-2}$. Implementation in the developed system of the algorithm of the distance measurement combined with transmission of control instructions is shown; it allows to measure a distance in case of any exchange of signals between a central office and a subscriber.
