Abstract:
An element of information technologies basis for biotechnology processes mathematical modeling of microbial synthesis in periodic culture conditions is considered in the paper. The nonlinear kinetic dependence of microorganism growth on the substrate concentration is the main specific feature of these processes. It is shown that the existence of two regimes with different initial substrate concentration providing the same performance is possible if the target product performance in the system is used as a process characteristic. Besides, there is a possibility to select the initial substrate concentration for maximum value of the target product reaching. Estimations of the process duration are done for two conditions, when the substrate is exhausted completely, and when the limit values of product concentration is reached.
