Specifics of the development of algorithms and programs for computing the main characteristics of integrated-optical waveguides

Abstract: Some algorithms and programs for computing the fields of various directed and radiant TE- and TM-modes of symmetrical and asymmetrical integrated-optical waveguides are considered. The dispersion dependences for TE- and TM-modes in trigonometric form and the corresponding graphic illustrations are discussed. The description of the theoretical approaches and the numerical algorithm for the field of a scattered radiation beyond an irregular integrated-optical waveguide in the Delphi system of visual programming are given.
