Abstract: We consider a number of applications of the Norma-language when constructing parallel programs for problems of mathematical physics to be solved with the use of adaptive nested structured grids. Some comparative results obtained with a multiprocessor computing system of distributed architecture for the grid dimensions N=64 and N=128 and for various configurations of processors (from 1 to 512) are presented.

Keywords: parallel programming, mathematical physics, adaptive grids, multiprocessor computing systems.
