An approach to construction of automatically scalable isolines

A. V. Pereberin

Abstract: The application of B-spline wavelets in the creation, smoothing and display of isolines is discussed. Wavelet-based methods provide the effective scalability of objects; this allows us to use these methods for mapping objects onto any area of arbitrary size with sufficiently low computational cost.

Keywords: construction of isolines, automatic scaling, B-spline wavelets, image processing.
