A study of $2$-local subgroups of finite quasithin groups by weak closure methods

Abstract: We study finite simple quasi-thin groups of char $2$-type with cyclic Sylow $3$-subgroups. We show, by means of the weak closure arguments, that the $2$-local structure of these groups is very special.
