The calculation of impact of metallic bodies on the basis of the compressible fluid model

The paper presents a numerical solution of hydrodynamic equations for the description of hypervelocity impact of metallic bodies. The material behind the shock wave front in the metal is considered as a compressible fluid. Calculations are carried out for various impact velocities.
