Deformation of Baikal Ice Shield

Abstract: As a result of natural ice experiment of Baikal Lakeobtained elastic and viscous ice parameters and the tidal amplitude of free oscillations, the values of the displacement ice fields, strain rate and the stress accumulation as affected by the destruction of borders. Given the experimental data, we consider the problem of the stability of ice plates under the influence of compressibility.
