A common fixed-point result via a supplemental function with an application

Abstract: In this paper, we prove a novel common fixed-point theorem for two commuting mappings. This assertion is proved using the measure of non-compactness in Banach spaces. Moreover, an application is given to demonstrate the usability of the obtained results.
