Abstract: Using the histochemical dithizonic method the patterns of absorption, localization and translocation of Zn, Cu and Cd ions were studied in different morphological tissues of the kidney bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) roots. These processes were also investigated in connection with the concentration and media composition parameters.

Keywords: Phaseolus vulgaris L., root system, plant tissues, histochemical dithizonic method, Zn, Cu, Cd, concentration, growth media.
