Abstract: Thermoelastic problem about the interaction of a macrocrack with microcracks in a material under the influence of a heat flux was considered for partially insulated cracks with thermal conductivity coefficients to be different for the macrocrack and for microcracks. The uncoupled thermoelastic theory is applied so that the solution consists of the solution of the thermal problem for a system of partially insulated cracks and of the solution of elastic problem. The influence of the location and orientation of cracks on the critical heat fluxes at the macrocrack tips were investigated for different heat conductivity index of crack surfaces.

Keywords: crack, stress intensity coefficient, critical thermal flux, singular integral equation, small parameter.
