Abstract: A method of processing digital audio to obtain higher (in 2, 3 and 4 times) sampling frequency is suggested. The required additional samples for output file of higher frequency can be produced by one or another type of interpolation. The local splines were explored — linear and cubic $ S_ {3, 2} $ (defect 2). To construct the links of the last in addition to the samples in the boundary nodes of the current link, difference derivatives were used instead of the usual ones for hermitian splines $ S_ {3, 1} $. That gives base to name the proposed cubic spline quasihermitian. The illustrative example of the constructing of a pair of quasihermitian spline links compared to a pair of linear spline links is given. Researches of spline link convexity are proceeded. Due to the lower rate of change of the derivative, quasihermitian splines have a lower level of noise in the output signal. Bibligr. 6. Il. 5.
