Abstract: A study has been carried out to check the validity of original 2D/3D codes and computational models for prediction of electromagnetic parameters of maglev systems employing electrodynamic suspension (EDS). The simulated results were compared with experimental data obtained on the LLNL Test Rig (USA). The ability of the proposed computational technique to support design and optimization of basic EDS types has been confirmed over the entire standard speed range. Bibliogr. 24. Il. 11. Table 3.
