Abstract: A two-point kinetics model for subcritical reactor with external neutron source is proposed. In contrast to well-known point kinetics model it makes possible to take into account non-stationary spatial neutronic power redistribution especially typical of so-called coupled reactor cores. Coupled reactor cores are suggested to use in accelerator driven systems in order to increase system power rate. The process of model equations derivation is based on the classical algorithm proposed by L. Usachev for point kinetics and the “method of zones”. The equations are obtained also taking into account delayed neutrons. Bibliogr. 10. Il. 1.
