Abstract:
A new approach permitting one to predict atmospheric air quality over urban areas using a one-dimensional meteorological model and a 3D pollutant transport model is described. The feature of the method is assimilation of the data of a medium-term meteorological forecast according to the global model of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia. The pollutant transport model is implemented on a supercomputer, which permits one to obtain the forecast in a short time.
Keywords:transport and formation of secondary air pollutants, mathematical modeling, parallel computing.
