Abstract: Processes of shock interaction of two types of compound strikers with a weight of 300 g and steel armor plates with a thickness of 50 mm were investigated by the computer modeling method. The impact speed is 1600 m/s. In the first version, the striker was represented as a steel core in a textolite pallet. In the second version, the steel core was replaced by a set of ten steel plates divided with textolite spacers. A satisfactory coordination with the results of a specially performed experiment was obtained.

Keywords: experimental, mathematical modeling, high-speed impact, striker, armor plate, shock waves, destruction, crater.
