Abstract:
The paper deals with the structuring of the dispersed phase in vortex devices as applied to particle separation processes. Parameters of motion of the dispersed medium near the curved surface bounding the flow are estimated depending on the particle size and concentration in the input stream. The calculated relations for the rotational component of the gas phase are presented. Factors having an effect on separation characteristics are analyzed for the device extracting impurities from granular polymers with a stable separation process at transport concentrations of particles.
