Numerical procedure of forecasting effective mechanical properties of stochastic composites under shock-wave loading with allowance for the structure evolution
Abstract:
A procedure for numerical study of the mechanical behaviour and predicting effective mechanical properties of stochastic composites in high-rate deformation under shock-wave loading is worked out with allowance for the evolution of the structure of composites. Using obtained simulation results of the mechanical behaviour under plane shock wave loading, the effective values of the mechanical parameters of the Al-50vol.% $\mathrm{B_4C}$ cermet composite are derived.
