Abstract: Processes of shock interaction between steel strikers and steel armour plates in a 118 g textolite glass were investigated by the experiment-calculated method in the contact speed range of $2000\ddots2400$ m/s. Problems of crater formation and spall fracture phenomena are considered. The results of mathematical modelling satisfactorily agree with the experimental tests.

Keywords: impact, experimental, mathematical modelling, destruction, crater, spall fracture, dynamic durability.
