Abstract: The string model with massive ends is used for describing excited meson states on Regge trajectories. Quasilinear Regge trajectories are generated by uniform rotation of an rectilinear string. On the base of experimental data we choose the form of spin-orbit interaction term for quark spins. This approach if useful for describing meson states both with light and heavy quarks.

Keywords: string with massive ends, spin-orbit interaction, Regge trajectories.
