The 70th birthday of L. A. Molotkov

Abstract: By now Lev Anatol'evich has published more than 200 scientific works; among them there are five monographs. He delivered lectures at many conferences both in Russia (USSR) and abroad. His foreign scientific trips were numerous. He defended his Candidate and Doctoral Theses in 1963 and 1975. In 1982, L. A. Molotkov, together with a group of specialists in the mathematical theory of wave processes, received the USSR State Prize for the creation and development of asymptotic methods used in geophysics. He received the title of Professor in 1991. Under his supervision, the following five pupils of L. A. Molotkov defended their Candidate Theses. At present, Lev Anatol'evich continues his scientific work. We wish him health, happiness, and every success in his investigations useful in science and practice.
