Abstract:
The problem of the diffraction of the electromagnetic plane wave, scattered on a small inhomogeneity in a slightly bent layer, is investigated. The inhomogeneity is supposed to be a cylinder. A cross-section area and diameter of the cylinder are small in comparision with the length of the incident wave.
It is proved that the small inhomogeneity radiates as a point source, the power of which is proportional to the cross-section area and the jumps of the dielectric and magnetic constants on the interfaces.
The bend of the layer does rezult in variation of the exponential factors of the reflected and refracted waves and in variation of the radiation pattern of the scattered waves.
