Lyapunov functions in the estimation of dimensions of attractors of dynamical systems

Abstract: We discuss the relation of the Lyapunov dimension to the topological, Hausdorff and fractal dimensions of attractors. For Henon and Lorentz systems we obtain formulas for the Lyapunov dimenison of attractors.
