Rayleigh asymptotics of diffraction problems

The paper presents a general procedure for constructing the complete low-frequency asymptotics of diffractions problems applied to the scalar Helmholtz equation. The scattered fields in the near- and far-field zones for various types of boundary conditions are investigated.
