Abstract:
The paper continues the development and study of the $\Delta W$-2 method (a rank-factorization method) for solving problems for two-parameter matrices with polynomial and rational dependence on the parameters. New types of rank factorizations are suggested, along with the corresponding algorithms. Applications to solving the following problems are considered: computing irreducible factorizations of certain two-parameter rational matrices; computing the hereditary (invariant) polynomials; constructing free bases of the null-spaces of polynomial solutions of a two-parameter matrix; computing adjoint matrices, and inverting unimodular matrices.
