Properties of and relations among certain types of metrics

Some special types of metrics such as the ideal metrics, generalized Levy–Prokhorov metrics and other are considered. In the paper some new properties of the metrics and some connections between them are formulated and proved. These facts can be used in problems of continuity and stability of stochastical models.
