On some method of point source field calculation in waveguide

The representation of the point source field in the waveguide with a quadratic refraction index is obtained in the form of the sum of normal and geometric waves and a remainder. The sufficient conditions on are found the number of the separated normal and geometric waves. The simple formulae for the remainder is given.
