Sufficient conditions for a multidimensional system of periodic wavelets to be a frame

Multidimensional periodic wavelet systems with matrix dilations are studied. Sufficient conditions under which such a system is Bessel are established. The conditions are given in terms of Fourier coefficients. A way of constructing a wavelet Riesz basis that starts with a suitable sequence of trigonometric polynomials is provided.
