Symmetry and geometric evolution equations

Abstract: The paper contains analytic description of geometric flows generated by nonlinear curvature functions in terms of invariant symmetric curvature matrix. Such approach provides the most efficient application of ideas and methods of the modern theory of fully nonlinear second order partial differential equations to the relevant geometric problems.
