Abstract:
In 2003, we celebrate the 70th birthday of Vsevolod Alekseevich Solonnikov, a uniquely gifted mathematician
and a world-renowed representative of the St. Petersburg mathematical school. His outstanding results
on exact estimates of solutions for boundary-value and initial boundary-value problems for linear elliptic and
parabolic systems, as well as for the Stokes system and its generalizations, and also on the mathematical study
of hydrodynamical free boundary problems are well known in the world.
