Method for computing the velocity of an electromagnetic wave propagating in a medium with inclusions at a low particle concentration

Abstract: Multiple scattering theory is used to develop a method for computing the velocity of an electromagnetic wave (light) propagating in a medium with inclusions. A model of light scattering by particles placed in a waveguide on its axis is investigated.
