Investigation of dynamic processes in an elastic layer on the surface of compressible fluid

Abstract: A phenomenon discovered during earthquakes occurring in a region of a southern part of Azerbaijan is studied. Taking into account the rare features of this part of the Earth’s crust, this phenomenon was modeled as a mathematical problem of the dynamic theory of elasticity, which revealed the cause of the phenomenon under study.
