Abstract:
The first non-zero terms in the asymptotic expansion of the solution of a non-linear singularly perturbed two-point boundary-value problem which represents a mathematical model of an infinitely long glow discharge which is homogeneous along its axis of the stationary positive column we obtained. It is assumed that the discharge is created in an electronegative gas, that it has a cylindrical form and is in a diffuse state. An analysis of the structure of the boundary layer of the plasma of this discharge is carried out. Numerical estimates are presented.
