Abstract:
A numerical method of solving simplified stationary Navier–Stokes equations is proposed. The method is based on using variables that can be described as “a function of the current and its orthogonal complement”. To solve the system of difference equations, a modification of the method of “global iterations” is proposed, which considerably accelerates the convergence of the iteration process. Examples of computations are given, and these are compared with the results of the asymptotic theory of locally broken flows.
