Abstract: A multicriteria choice problem is considered. The Edgeworth–Pareto principle is established under the assumption that certain axioms hold true. Quantitative interdependent information on the relative importance of two groups of criteria is used to derive upper bounds for the unknown set of selected vectors.

Key words: decision making, multicriteria optimization, relative importance of criteria, restriction of the Pareto set.
