Justification of the method of nonorthogonal series and the solution of some inverse problems of diffraction

A modification of the method of non-orthogonal series used to study problems of electro-magnetic wave diffraction by solids of revolution is substantiated. Using an effective numerical algorithm, a solution of some converse problems of diffraction is examined.
