On the regularity of solutions to the drift-diffusion approximation equations in gas discharge theory

Abstract: An initial-boundary value problem is stated for the nonlinear drift-diffusion equations, which are widely used in gas discharge simulation. The class of nonlinear boundary conditions that ensure the existence and uniqueness of strong solutions is determined.
