Theorems of the existence of a solution for the self-similar boundary value problem of a viscous hypersonic shock layer

A solution of the problem is obtained by using a successive approximation method similar to Tirskii's method for the integration of the boundary layer equations. The convergence of the method is proved with some assumptions.
