Restoration of the initial temperature from surface measurements

Taking the problem of restoring the initial temperature of a body from measurements on its surface, questions of uniqueness are studied in the one-dimensional and two-dimensional axisymmetric cases, and Tikhonov regularizing algorithms are developed.
