Abstract:
To solve problems of the flow of a dissociated, ionized and radiating gas, a difference scheme based on the method of large particles is proposed. The results of calculations using the $P_1$-th approximation of the method of spherical harmonics, and those obtained using the plane-layer approximation for taking radiation into account, are compared. The flows with injection in the shock layer, which models the ablation of the heat-protection coating by a powerful radiant heat flux advancing to the surface of a blunt body is examined.
