Difference approximation of the problem of bending vibrations of a thin elastic plate

The problem of bending vibrations of a thin elastic plate is considered. A difference method is proposed for solving the problem. The convergence of the solution of the difference problem to a generalized solution of the original differential problem is proved and the rate of convergence is estimated.
