Quasi-gasdynamic equations and numerical simulation of viscous gas flows

Abstract: The system of quasi-gasdynamic equations and an entropy balance equation are presented. Numerical methods are described for solving the equations, which are used to simulate subsonic and supersonic viscous unsteady gas flows. Two-dimensional flows are computed as examples.
