Abstract:
Sound suppression in a wide waveguide with the help of a longitudinal packet resonator is studied. The underlying model takes into account the spatial interaction of fields propagating in the waveguide and the resonator. The suppression process is formalized as the problem of controlling the sound field by varying the medium parameters inside the resonator.
