Abstract: This volume is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Soviet and Russian mathematician
Academician Boris Sergeevich Kashin. The volume includes articles on various areas of function
theory and functional analysis such as discretization of integral norms, greedy approximations,
trigonometric series, Sobolev spaces, etc. The authors of most of the articles are leading
mathematicians from Russia and many other countries.
