An approach to the planar approximation in quantum field theory

It is shown that the following three problems are equivalent: 1) calculation of the planar approximation of the $D$-dimensional matrix model; 2) the scaling limit for the scalar bilocal $D$-dimensional model; 3) the planar approximation for the zerodimensional matrix model with explicit symmetry breaking.
