Abstract:
Analysis of the available data reveals that the parameters of boiling heat transfer depend significantly on the thermophysical properties of the heat-transfer wall and its geometric characteristics (roughness and thickness of the wall). However, it is still difficult to correctly estimate in full the effect of roughness and thickness of the heat-transfer wall. It is possibly because of this that no universal criterial relations exist at present which would enable one to describe the vast array of experimental data on boiling heat transfer. A particular problem is treated in this paper and generalization is given of experimental data on boiling heat transfer of Freons and nitrogen to thick-walled pipes of different thermophysical characteristics and roughness.
