Abstract:
In the paper a new method of computation of wave fields of different physical nature in high frequency approximation is suggested. The method is based on the summation of the Gaussian beams in an observation point $M$. For making use of the method it is necessary i) to construct a “fan” of rays passing through
some vicinity of the point $M$, ii) to construct the Gaussian beam for each ray of the “fan”, iii) to summarise the contributions of the Gaussian beams in the point $M$ over all rays of the “fan”. She method is convinient for computation of wave fields especially in the regions with non-regular behaviour of the rays, i.e. when $M$ is placed on a coustic. In this case the algorithm of computation doesn't change due to the properties of the Gaussian beams.
